Joe Colgan

Joe has been advising sports governing bodies and clubs in Australia and Europe for the past 15 years, working on landmark media rights deals, wagering strategies and sponsorship portfolio strategies. His passion is connecting business strategies and insight with big data analysis, which often lies dormant in today's organisations. ColganBauer was born out of this passion: the power of massive, automated data sets applied to a strategic problem with real-world implications.

Christian Bauer

Christian brings more than 20 years of expertise in business problem solving, product management and enterprise-grade technology management to ColganBauer. His past experiences include senior executive roles at Firmenich (a Swiss-based Global Chemicals and Flavours company), academic research fellowships, and strategy consulting with the Boston Consulting Group. Drawing on this unique combination of management and technology experience, Christian is responsible for turning ground-breaking research into client-ready products.

Josh Humbler

Josh has over 10 years experience solving commercial problems in a sport and media context. His experience is wide-ranging, with recent projects including wagering strategy and economics, media investment business cases, stadium economics and sponsorship strategy. Josh’s passion for sport is a distinctive quality which is brought to life in delivering projects of high quality with exceptional attention to detail.

Vikki Bester

Vikki has over ten years of experience working for a number of sporting organisations across strategy, commercial business, corporate partnerships, brand and marketing. Past projects include; support for significant media rights deal, successfully implementing marketing strategies, completing market analysis for competitor insights and partner integrated fan engagement activations.

Her benchmarking and analytical support for industry leading programs has seen her excel in Australia’s biggest sporting industry, ensuring her methods are current and relevant.

  • Significant experience in sponsorship management, fan strategy, clubs financial reviews

Philip has over 9 years’ experience in consulting, working with a diverse range of clients bringing significant experience in hypothesis driven strategy, cost reduction and revenue leakage reduction.  Philip’s core areas of expertise include strategy development, business transformation, operating model design.

Philip brings a unique insight to sport and media projects having spent a significant portion of his career working across several different industries. It is this experience that enables Philip to bring different ideas together to help create the best solution for our clients, change current thinking and deliver results.
